Since its inception in Kuwait back in 1964, Americana Group has grown into one of the largest and most successful corporations in the Middle East and North Africa region./p>
With a network of over 1,630 outlets, it is not only the largest operator of restaurant chains in the MENA region, but also one of the most successful franchise operators in the whole world. Americana have been a customer of IFL’s since the opening of Pizza Hut, and subsequently KFC, in the region.
IFL were approached by Yum Brands to support the supply of a new KFC product to the Americana Group in MENA region, in time for a new launch. The challenge involved both air and sea modes of transport, to both existing regular customers within the Americana Group and new opportunities within the Americana business. Americana needed a solution to support the entire group, in order to have product in store with challenging deadlines.
IFL were able, through a well established network of processes, to purchase the product from the manufacturer and manage the supply chain from door to destination. This included complex management of documentation applications, lead time and shelf life controls, and international distribution.
With tried and tested knowledge of supplying food products to the Middle East, IFL successfully distributed products into many complex areas to satisfy the whole region for Americana Group.
